Who
owns RiverLand?
Most financial institutions are owned by their stockholders, who purchase a part of the
institution with the intention of making money from their investment. A credit union
doesn't operate in this manner. Each credit union member owns one "share" of
the financial co-op. As an owner, members are entitled to vote on the election of member representatives
to serve on the Board of Directors. Click here to
learn more about what makes credit unions unique from banks.
